お待たせいたしましたっ！

遂に始まりました、MSTERIO ２０１１！

今年も、MSTERIOは、地震に負けず、いつものように全快で素敵な思い出がいっぱいつまった夏にしていきます！

キャンプ場は去年もお世話になったWoodyMock。

アルプスと見間違えるほどの美しい山々に囲まれた自然豊かなこのキャンプ場は、長野県の松本市からバスで１時間ほど走ったところにあります。

ミステリオキャンパーたちは３時頃にこのキャンプ場に無事到着。

荷物をキャビンにおいて間もなく、ミステリオに「入国」するためのImmigration が始まりました！今回、「入国審査」をするImmigration officerはアメリカから来た２人組。プリンストン大学の留学プログラム、Princeton in Asiaから初参加のMaxとニューヨークで書道家として活躍する香太郎さん！

きびしぃ〜入国審査を通り抜け、MSTERIOパスポートに入国スタンプを押してもらったキャンパーたちを待ち受けていたのは、のぞみさんからの「Welcome to MSTERIO!」という暖かい言葉とキャビンの名前とダンスを考えるという最初の試練。みんな頭をくっつけて、あれやこれやとアイディアを出し合います。どんなことを話しているのかな？

お風呂＆自由Timeの後は、待ちに待ったDINNER TIME!　今夜のメニューはなんと好き焼き！…だけではありません！カリカリにあがった新鮮野菜とエビのてんぷらもいただきました。

テーブルの上のずらりと並べられたご馳走を前に、お腹をすかしたキャンパーたちの目はキラキラと輝いて、食堂は興奮の渦につつまれました。デザートは、松本市でしか味わえないあま〜いスイカ！

小滝さん、いつもおいしいご飯をありがとうございます！WoodyMockでは、MSTERIOのために４人の高校生と大学生のアルバイト生がランチとディナーのヘルプをしてくださいます。

ごちそうさまの後は、みんなでMSTERIOのM、Make a Differenceについて話し合いました。キャンパーのダン吉によると、Make a Differenceとは"To make a change in the existing world"。つまり、世界に良い変化をもたらすこと！

さて、夕飯が終わるといよいよ今日のメインイベントといっても過言ではない、Cabin Presentationの時間です。それぞれのグループがcabinの名前とダンスをみんなの前で発表します！

さて、今日から８日間、果たしてどんな驚きや発見がわたしたちを待ち受けているのでしょうか？

MSTERIO 2011 is finally here!

Summer has arrived and MSTERIO is ready to make wonderful memories again this year.

The camp is at Woody Mock, about 1 hour bus ride away from Matsumoto, Nagano.
Surrounded by many beautiful mountains, we are able to breathe in the fresh air.

MSTERIO campers arrived in WoodyMock around 3pm.
They dropped off their bags and entered the Immigration Process. This year we had two very strict American Immigration Officers: Max who came from Princeton University through the "Princeton in Asia" Program and Kotaro, a Japanese calligrapher from New York.

After the Immigration Process, Nozomi gave a welcome speech along with the first mission to create a Cabin name and a little dance to introduce your cabin. Campers get together and try their best to make an interesting presentation.

Bathing time at the "Mokku no Yu (Hot Spring)", followed by free time, then DINNER! Today's dinner was not only Sukiyaki, but fresh tempura! For dessert we had very sweet watermelon, a specialty of Matsumoto.

After Dinner, we all talked about "M from MSTERIO", which stands for Make a Difference. According to one of our campers Dankichi, Make a Difference means "To make a change in the existing world."

Singing, dancing, yelling-- all the presentations were very unique, filled with creativity!
