朝からびっくり！ なんと5時起きするキャンパーたちが続出。そのために当初予定していた6:30からのアーリーバードクリーニングクラブを5:30に変更して 有志のキャンパーを集めての大掃除大会。みんなで分担を決めながらさるしょうをもっと綺麗にしようと張り切ってくれました。
自分たちのキャビンのお掃除も7時すぎまでには済ませないとならないため、みんな朝から大忙し。
今日は2日目なので中高生のチームワークをより深いものにできたらいいなと、さる小のケンジさんとシェフのまささんの提案でEBOATという特別なクラスを湖で行いました。チームワークがよくなければボートが前に進まないため、みんなそれは一生懸命こいでいました。大人のスタッフの方が明日筋肉痛になりそうです！
ジュニアキャンパーたちはソフトテニス、ダンス、クッキング、水泳の中から好きなクラスを選んで充実した時間を過ごす事ができました。
ランチは冷やしうどん。たっぷりなトッピングを自分たちで選び、今日かはもっと自分たちやってもらえるようにキッチンスタッフがその方ほを考えてより改善されたやり方で食前、食後もよりスムーズになってきました。
ランチのあとは午後のクラスのサインアップ。今日はサイエンスの特別クラスが今日だけ加わり興味深いクラスになりました。そのクラスを教えてくださるのは、山崎詩朗先生、そして詩朗はこんな方：東京工業大学理学院物理学系助教）東京大学大学院理学系研究科物理学専攻博士課程修了。博士（理学）。
量子物理の研究に従事し、第10回日本物理学会若手奨励賞受賞。「科学者と科学で遊ぼう」をモットーに、子供や市民へ科学を楽しく伝える活動に尽力。青空サイエンス、ヒカリーランド、SFで学ぶ物理学を各地で実施。 世界コマ大戦に出場を機にコマ博士に。コマ実験教室を各地で開催しNHK等で紹介される。
サイエンスのクラス以外には、どれを選んで良いかわからないくらいの楽しそうなクラスばかり。例えば、、、、小学生だけのドラマクラス、英語とフランス語のクラス、アート（ドールメーキングも）ミュージッククラス、フィールド、マジック。中高生のどうしてもとらなければならない演劇クラスのチームワークもきっと今朝の経験でより素晴らしいものになることでしょう。
今晩の夕食は魚フライ、エビフライ、鳥の唐揚げ、味噌汁、ご飯、そして昨日と同じようにふんだんなローカルの野菜を使ったサラダにご飯。
夕食のあとは、それは多彩なミステリオのミュージックデイレクターやスタッフによる本格的なミュージックコンサート。 YUKIのダンス、愛香によるソロ演奏、明日からオペラと声楽を教えてくださる麻子さんによる数曲、たまたま群馬でコンサートを終えたばかりのピアニストのごへい、タンジによるマジック、そしてメインゲストとしてニューヨーク在住のアーチスト EIKO KANO さんのバイオリン演奏 などなど。。。。なんて贅沢な夜なんでしょう！
心配されたお天気も なんとか持ちこたえ、こうして楽しい日を過ごす事ができました。
明日はどうか5時前には起きないように！

Hi I'm Thomas. This is my sixth time at MSTERIO. I am the English and French activity director.
Everyone has been worried about the weather this year since it looks like rain every day in the forecast, but fortunately, we lucked out for the most part!
The campers were very excited for the day and many of them were up before 6 am! As the day got started it was cloudy but the good news was there was no rain!
Some of the cabins were responsible for breakfast prep which includes not only food prep but also cleaning the dining hall prep.
Breakfast time was filled with noise and conversation of the campers getting to know each other. At the end of breakfast or lunch each day the campers learn about one phrase in English.
Today's one point English was also this year's MSTERIO theme which is "LIFE IS GOOD". Everybody said this phrase in unison and then I taught them this phrase in French which is "LA VIE EST BONNE".
After breakfast, we had morning class sign up. Campers had a choice of Swimming, Dance, Indoor tennis, Cooking class, which included Arabian and Iranian food and a new class Paddle Boating!
I partook in the paddle boating with the Senior and CIT (Counselor in Training) campers. It was so amazing! We had a paddle boat race and we also paddled under a bridge and under a waterfall! However, the best part was that we saw someone bungee jumping off the bridge!
Next was lunch where we had Hiyashi Udon (Cold Udon). It was delicious and very refreshing for the summertime.
Next, it was afternoon class sign up where campers had the choice of Drama, Music, Art, English, French, and Science.
Right after sign up, it is quiet time. This is a chance for campers and staff to relax and recharge for the day. Usually, campers read or listen to music on their earphones. The point is everyone must be quiet.
During quiet time today, however, there was a special event for staff only which was a kind of getting-to-know-you activity.
After quiet time classes went on. One of the highlights of today's afternoon class was Shiro sensei who was the science teacher. He performed many experiments such as creating a huge bubble among other amazing things!
After this, it was bath time and free time before dinner. Tonight's dinner was fried shrimp (ebifry), fried chicken (karaage) and fried fish, as well as a huge plate of vegetables including, eggplant, baby corn, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and broccoli.
After dinner clean up it was time for tonight's special event a music and magic concert! First, there was Yuki who is our MSTERIO dance instructor. This is Yuki's first time at MSTERIO. Yuki performed some cabaret style dance routine! Next, we had Tadesh who has returned to MSTERIO after four years! Tadesh sang a song for the opera 'Les Miserables'! Then there was Asako who comes every year to perform and teach Opera to the campers! At tonight's concert, she sang the classic Ave Maria and Amazing Grace! After that, we had Aika who played some Disney song routine on the piano and on the drums! Finally we had a violinist who performed alongside Asako, Aika and another special guest Mariko Hata! Mariko Hata is a wellknown piano player who improvises songs on the spot!.
Finally after a long day we tucked the campers in bed and read them a bedtime story. Sleep tight campers and let's get ready for another fun-filled day at MSTERIO Kingdom!
